Pakistan has neither democracy nor any system: Qadri

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr. Tahir ul Qadri claimed that there was neither democracy nor any system in the country, adding he will soon come to Pakistan to give a decisive call to uproot the corrupt system as it is long overdue.

“There is nothing like democracy in the country. There is nothing like system in the country,” Dr. Qadri said while addressing a large rally at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi.

“No parliament exists in this country. The present parliament came into existence through violating Article 62 and 63,” he said.

Dr. Qadri said that hundreds of thousands of people were attending the rally. “I want to show people’s power by staging today’s rally.”

“Time has come to rebuild Pakistan as some families are occupying the country,” Qadri added.

The PAT leader announced that he would soon return to Pakistan and give a call for the final phase of his peaceful revolution to transfer power back to people.

He rejected criticism about leading the campaign from Canada. “It is the right of people to reject or accept my call from Canada. If they respond to my call, nobody else has the right to object,” he said.

“This parliament came into existence through Article 213 of the Constitution. It is an unconstitutional parliament.”

There is no hope from the parliament which was formed through rigged elections, he said, adding that under the Constitution of Pakistan, elimination of the present system has become mandatory.

Dr. Qadri asserted that Hazara will be developed into a province as soon as the PAT assumes the government, adding the power will be shared with at least one million people.

Detailing the post-revolution set-up, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said 150 district governments will be formed and the syllabus of religious seminaries will be overhauled. – SAMAA
