LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the federal government is pressurizing the media groups and its owners over showing the truth to the public, ARY News reports.
Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, while speaking to media in Lahore, said that journalists are being fired from their jobs for writing the truth.
He added the government has planned to take action against media groups across the country.
“The news item published in Jang’s english daily The News is an excess and injustice”, he said.
Tahir-ul-Qadri also said that violence has never taken place in their marches and government has failed to prove its claims in this respect.
“Not a single bullet has been fired from our side”, PAT chairman added.
