PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has strongly condemned the assassination of Prof Shakil Oj, Dean of faculty of Islamic Studies of Karachi University and expressed his deep sense and grief. He said that his murder proved that people were at the mercy of terrorist and target killers. He said that law and order was the first and foremost responsibility of any government, adding that if a government failed to fulfill this fundamental responsibility, it had no right to stay in power. He said that given lawlessness in the country, the government of the day should step down.

Dr Qadri prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in peace and give patience to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with courage and fortitude.
