Roots of Sharifs’ rule rendered hollow: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that 70-day sit-in and countrywide protest movement has rendered the roots of Sharif’s rule hollow. He said that the present rulers are guests for some more time as their countdown has already begun. He predicted that status quo parties would have no role in future political scenario.

Dr Qadri expressed these views while having an informal chat with senior party leaders on Nov 21 in Model Town Lahore. He said that after staging a façade of reducing POL prices by 9%, gas tariff has been hiked by 30%, which is oppression with the masses. He said that increase in gas tariff will bring a massive surge of price hike. He asked the rulers to take back this increase immediately.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri also condemned a bomb attack on MQM office in Orangi. He asked the federal and provincial governments to arrest the perpetrators involved in this incident. He said that violence is being fanned to restrict political activities under a carefully planned conspiracy.
