He said that the rulers using national institution of police for political objectives have given it a license to mass-kill. He said that the killing of lawyers in Daska is worthy of the strongest condemnation and a reflection of extreme lawlessness prevailing in the province. He said that the suo moto notice of the killings of lawyers by the honorable Chief Justice of LHC is welcome, adding that if suo moto notice of the heart-rending massacre of 14 innocent people in Model Town had been taken, the heirs of the martyrs would have got justice by now and the rulers would not have dared throw dust in the eyes of people and law by issuing fake and highly questionable reports.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that PAT stands by lawyers’ community at this hour of immense grief and supports their announcement of observance of black day, adding that lawyers belonging to PAT will join the legal fraternity in mourning across the country. PAT leaders Dr Raheeq Abbasi, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Mushtaq Nonari Advocate, MH Shaheen Advocate, Naeem-ud-Din Chaudhry Advocate, Sardar Ghazanfar Advocate, Ishtiaq Chaudhry Advocate, Nasir Iqbal Advocate, and a large number of workers attended the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi said that the Punjab government and police have completely failed in securing life and property of the masses, demanding that the law and order of the entire province should be handed over to Rangers. He said that the PAT is struggling against oppression. He said that the whole province has turned into a police state as the whole nation is suffering police excesses and brutalities. He said that we can say with surety that Rana Sanaullah has emerged as the biggest terrorist in the Daska incident and now all investigation reports will be in favour of the killers.

Addressing the foundation day ceremony, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the police is wearing the garb of terrorists and culture of lawlessness fostered by the Punjab Police is now extending its influence into other provinces as well.
