Prime Minister shying away from responding to Panama leaks: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the Prime Minister talks of everything in his speeches but does not respond to revelations of the Panama leaks. He said that the feats of the rulers include filling in the coffers of the foreign banks and making properties of worth billions of dollars with suspect wealth. He said that those making claims of running Jeddah steel mill successfully are responsible for default of every factory in Pakistan. He said that those who made claims of making Pakistan Asian tiger 30 years ago are still repeating the same claims. He said that the poor do not need the lollypop of motorway and roads but justice, electricity, and employment.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while addressing the meeting of the PAT Central Working Council through video conference yesterday. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Basharat Jaspal, Fayyaz Warraich, Noorullah Siddiqui, Sajid Bhatti, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam, and others were present on the occasion.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the duration of load-shedding was 16 hours per day in 2013 and it is the same today as well. He said that the PM is moving from city to the other in order to save himself and his family from accountability. He said that it is due to corrupt system and incompetent rulers that heart-rending incidents like the one in Abbottabad are happening. He said that we demand that strict punishment should be awarded to those who burned Ambreen alive. He said that such a cruelty cannot be expected in the 21st century but added in the same breath that such incidents are taking place due to poverty, ignorance, backwardness and incompetence of rulers.

A resolution adopted in the meeting condemned the surge in the prices of eatables and increase in duration of load-shedding. It was demanded that the rulers present themselves for accountability in the light of Panama leaks.
