Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI, has said that protecting the youth from pernicious effects of extremism and radicalism is a national service. He said that Pakistan has a huge asset in the form of youth, adding that in order to unlock their potential, higher educational institutions are required. He asked how a country could progress if 24 million of its children do not go to school, adding how will extremism be got rid of.

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expressed these views while talking to leaders of PAT Youth Wing the other day. Youth leaders Tanvir Khan and Mazhar Alvi also spoke on the occasion.

The President of MQI said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is leading the youth on the path of education, peace and research. He said that promotion of knowledge and character building is one of the main objectives of MQI. He congratulated the Youth Wing on arranging peace workshops across the country as part of Dr Qadri’s ‘peace initiative’. He said that protecting the youth from the influence of extremism and radicalism is the need of the hour, adding that MQI is fulfilling this responsibility in a wonderful manner.

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the destination of prosperity cannot be achieved without developing the education sector. He said that the students have to travel far and wide to get to educational institutions of repute even today. He said had the passion and zest with which money is spent on metro trains, buses and roads, been employed for promoting education, the situation would have been different by now.

He said that the political parties have used the youth for political purposes and did not include them in the mainstream of national progress in the real sense. He said that it has resulted in greater extremism and radicalism among the youth. He said that Pakistan cannot come out of the crises without educating its youth.
