President of Minhaj Peace and Integration Council (Europe) Syed Muhammad Jamil, who is also President of Pak-Hellenic Cultural and Welfare Society, called on Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of MQI’s Supreme Council at his residence in Model Town, Lahore. Director Foreign Affairs G.M. Malik was also present at the occasion.
Syed Muhammad Jamil gave a detailed and comprehensive briefing to Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri about projects and activities of the Peace and Integration Council. The Chairman Supreme Council congratulated Syed Muhammad Jamil on receiving a higher award from a Greek organization.
Syed Muhammad Jamil told at the occasion that out of 80 organizations, 10 that were selected for conferment of award for meritorious services also included Pak-Hellenic Cultural and Welfare Society. He said that the President of Republic of Greece bestowed the awards along with cheques in a prestigious and splendid ceremony held in Cultural Hall of Athens University.
Paying tributes to Syed Muhammad Jamil for his welfare services, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the role Pakistani Diaspora community was playing to promote noble values and traditions by rising above all differences of colour, creed, faith and race was praiseworthy. He said that Syed Muhammad Jamil made the people of Pakistani community proud by getting an award from none other than the President of Greece. He said that MQI was playing its role for promotion of peace, harmony and interfaith dialogue in the world , adding that Syed Muhammad Jamil won rare feats in furtherance of the vision of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
