Success of Radd-ul-Fasaad Operation depends on eliminating roots of terrorism: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that unless the roots and origin of militancy are uprooted, the operation Radd-ul-Fasaad will not be result-oriented. He said that if the neighbouring country is involved in fomenting terrorism in Pakistan, then who else is responsible to expose her than the government of Pakistan? He said that it is not by cutting off the branches alone but the roots of the tree of terrorism that sustainable peace will be established, failing which terrorism will continue to branch off.

In his special interview with a TV channel, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that he remains stick to his old stance regarding the Panama leaks case, adding that there will be no major change in his opinion. He however added in the same breath that it is his prayer to Allah Almighty that the decision comes contrary to his opinion. He said that the Panama leaks will become the election material for the ruling party and they will benefit from it in the run up to election, saying that they have established their transparency.

Talking about the extension in the term of military courts, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that according to his information, the amended draft being prepared by the government does not contain words such as terrorism in regard to actions of sectarian and religious outfits. These words have been replaced by heinous acts against the state of Pakistan. He warned that if such a thing happens, then ideological terrorism will get legal protection and those having difference of opinion with the government will become target of this amendment. The government will use this to crush the opposition.

Dr Qadri said that one has become fed up having heard the name of RAW agent Kalbushan but the Prime Minister has remained unmoved and did not speak a word about him. He said that if the rulers think that India is involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan, then why do not they take notice of it? He asked why are they refraining from the extreme action when the matter relates to Pakistan’s security and survival? He said that the rulers have had the support of extremist organizations in the election.
