Minhaj-ul-Quran International is a revivalist movement, which has been engaged in the relentless struggle to promote peace, interfaith dialogue and harmony in the world under the inspiring leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. It advocates comprehensive change and peaceful revolution in the political, economic and social structure so that the country becomes a welfare state as envisioned by its founding fathers. Change is not a function of number of individuals but it hinges on the purity and unity of ideology which serves as a clarion call for change. The building block of intellectual clarity is the spread of awareness. In order to attain the destination of comprehensive change in society, there is a need to wage consistent and determined struggle with a strong sense of conviction.
According to Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, if ten million people out of 170 million awaken their consciousness and stand up against the present exploitative, cruel, dishonest and elitist system and launch their peaceful and democratic struggle, none can stop the change from happening. Today, we do not have a system worth its name in the country with the result that the country suffers from the worst leadership deficit. The system, which is being protected, is structured along corrupt and undemocratic lines. It is instrumental in protecting the interests of the vested interests. In these grim circumstances, the entire nation needs to come out openly against this system and in support of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and join forces for a collective struggle.
The hundreds of speeches delivered by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and other activities being performed by various departments of MQI are geared to bring about change in the system through awakening of public consciousness. What is needed is that every individual contributes his share in this campaign for change and conveys this message to a maximum number of people.
Time to act is now. Let us stand up and be counted. Otherwise, the future generations would not forgive us!
