Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, senior Deputy Secretary General of MQI, has said that the days of current corrupt and outdated electoral system have been numbered. He said that people have become aware of the ills this system afflicted on them and are ready to give it final parting push on the 23rd of December.
Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz expressed these views while talking to a delegation of MQI supervisors who called on him in his office in Lahore today. Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Anar Khan, Sajid Mahmood Bhatti, Toquir-ul-Hassan Gilani and others were also present on the occasion.
He said that Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri would announce a national agenda on his arrival at Minar-e-Pakistan, which would change the destiny of people of Pakistan.
Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri exposed the flaws of electoral system through its comprehensive analysis and highlighted the need for reforms in it. He said that the day was not far when the elitist system would be sent packing. He said that the masses would extend their full support to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s agenda for new Pakistan.
Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz said that people from all walks of life including women would attend the welcome rally in their hundreds of thousands. He said that the 23rd of December would herald a new beginning in the country and give a renewed hope to the disappointed people. He said that a system, which facilitated the entry of middle class into the corridors of power, was the need of the hour for national development.
