Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s special message on Eid-ul-Adha

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has felicitated the Muslims, members of the Pakistani expatriate community and the Pakistani people on the blessed and auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

In his special message, Shaykh-ul-Islam asked the Muslims to recall the philosophy of the Eid and internalize its message in their individual and collective lives. He said that Eid-ul-Adha teaches the faithful to include the exploited and less-privileged sections of society in their happiness.

Underlining the need for promoting brotherhood, Dr Qadri asked the Muslims to revive the spirit of oneness and unity, which once characterized the Islamic world. He said that we should learn to help our disadvantaged brethren in their hour of trial and tribulations. He said that reining in the base and material desires was the duty of each and every Muslim. He further added that the spirit of welfare sprang from this act of Hazrat Ibrahim (RA), thereby putting an end to the attitudes of intolerance and extremism.

Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said: “By following the Sunna (practice) of Hazrat Ibrahim (RA), one gets to know the hardships and difficulties of the downtrodden and poor sections of society. This spirit of love and compassion, which is the core message of the festive occasion, motivates people to help those in distress with utmost sincerity that paves the way for promotion of positive values and traditions of human brotherhood.”

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the act of sacrifice and performance of Hajj gave a message of unity and oneness among the Muslims. He said that there was a dire need of forging unity among the ranks of the Muslims to fight off the contemporary challenges. He asked the people of Pakistan not to forget the people of Balochistan affected by earthquake while celebrating Eid-ul-Adha.
