Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the plant of consciousness of ‘Hussainiyat’ that grew from the plains of Karbla will continue to provide the entire humanity with a shadow of abiding justice, democracy, peace and integration till the Day of Judgment. He said that Hazrat Imam e Hussain (A.S.) raised a voice against dictatorship and authoritarianism in such a forceful manner that its reverberations continued to be heard even after the lapse of 15 centuries. He said that the consciousness the great Imam created would keep the head of humanity high as a metaphor of truth. He said that neither did Imam Hussain (A.S.) rebel, nor did he launch an armed struggle nor occupied any part of the land. He, on the other hand, embarked on a peaceful struggle to protect the religious values and traditions from being disfigured. The martyrdom of the great Imam proved that system of religion was over and above everything else.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while addressing a ‘Pegham-e-Hussain Conference’ organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council in central secretariat of MQI on the 10th of Muharram. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council, Sahibzada Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, central Amir of MQI, Allama Abdul Khabir Azad (Khateeb Jamia Badshahi Mosque), Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Allama Sadiq Qureshi, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Allama Muhammad Hussain Azad, Allama Syed Fahrat Hussain Shah, Ch Afzal Gujar, Hafiz Ghulam Farid, renowned religious scholars, Mashaykh and a large number of people attended the conference.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Hazrat Fatim-tuz-Zuhra (S.A.), Hazrat Imam e Hassan (A.S.) and Hazrat Imam e Hussain (A.S.) are the master of Paradise. He said that he who kept any grudge or ill feeling about these revered personages of Islam would be able to smell the fragrance of paradise. He said that by creating new mischiefs, the anti-Islam forces were out to undermine the brotherhood, unity and harmony among the Muslims. He said that the Muslims were being pushed into the fire of sectarianism and prejudices today. He said that the Pakistani nation would have to pledge to rise against Yazidi system, adding that this would pave the way for security, progress, harmony and peace. He said that the Pakistani nation and the Muslim Umma could regain their lost glory through constant struggle against Yazidi attitudes.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the message of ‘Hussainiyat’ was to become incarnation of sacrifice, wage a sustained struggle against Yazidi attitudes and create an environment of peace, love and harmony in which the humanity could thrive and progress. He said that the great Imam ruled hearts and minds and his act of supreme sacrifice taught us to rise against dictatorship, oppression and coercion.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Muslim world suffered from discord, internal rifts and crises at large scale. It continued to face humiliation despite being blessed with abundant resources. He asked the Muslims to beware of conspiracies and guard themselves against sectarian rifts and communal differences by choosing a way by which peace and harmony could be fostered. He said that the love of the Prophet’s Household is part of the faith and love of Hazrat Imam e Hassan and Hussain (A.S.) was in fact love of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). He said that we should act upon the teachings of these revered personalities and model our lives on the foundations of Islamic teachings.
