Vows to create 35 provinces in country

LAHORE: Pledging Pakistan transformation in compliance with the vision of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Awami Tehreek chief Allama Dr Tahirul Qadri has disclosed agenda of revolution seeking implementation of the country's constitution in the letter and spirit under which the state should administer reforms in area of taxation and agricultural land, coupled with provision of employment opportunities, residence to homeless and health facilities.

PAT Chief, while addressing a big protest rally against inflation, corruption and unemployment at The Mall here on Sunday through video link from Canada announced the agenda for 'Inqilaab'/revolution aiming significantly de-concentration of wealth and equal rights among all citizens. While slamming the political class and members of assemblies in Pakistan he said, in fact the rulers had dragged Pakistan away from the vision of Quaid-e-Azam. He warned the rulers that his revolution would account them entirely, and its second term will be the decisive one.

Dr Tahirul Qadir disclosed the agenda and recommended to fix maximum limit of agricultural land up to 50 acres per family under the new reform program. He said farmers who fertile the barren land must be given its ownership.

He disclosed that under his revolutionary agenda poor will not be paying any direct or indirect taxes rather the tax ratio will be raised for the privileged classes adding that it should be minimize for middle class. He said the educated and skillful people in the country must be given job opportunities, or else they must be awarded unemployment allowance Rs 10000. He demanded free medical facility to the masses

Moreover he stated that, if our revolution takes place, then shelters will be provided to the homeless peoples. Every homeless family should be provided a free of cost five Marla plot, he said. He also mentioned that they then must be provided funds for the constructionof homes on easy installments. Dr Tahirul Qadri criticized the former and present governments for violating the constitutional obligations towards the masses. He underscored that Pakistan constitution's article 38 (a) and (d) obligates the government to ensure de-concentration of wealth, and to form policies for the uplifting of poor people. He said the said governments had not taken any steps in this regard rather obliging the rich segment of the society.

He lamented the investment scheme recently announced by the premier Nawaz Sharif and termed it as the policy for converting black money into white. He said government had plans to sale out national departments in the name of privatization which would be purchased by them or their associates. He said national assets have been set on sale to spread their personal businesses. He asked the ruling elites to get back their billions of dollars from foreign banks and use this money to give maximum subsidy on essential commodities.

Meanwhile he alleged the government and it ministers for having close relations with terrorists and said that this was the reason the terrorism was spreading. He underlined that neither we want extremism nor mullahism. He said military dictatorship was also not part of the solution instead implementation of true democratic values.

He said LG polls was a drama, he said the rulers were not ready to give power to anyone except their families and cronies. Qadri also pledged to make 35 provinces in the country for devolution powers. He claimed that terrorism would be ended within one year after PAT's revolution. He said terrorism has prevailed due to the sitting ministers close ties with terrorists. He said they would continue their struggle till a "true revolution" takes place.

Earlier, Dr Hussain Muhiudin Qadri, central leader of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) and son of Dr Tahirul Qadri led the rally towards the destination (stage). Dr Hussain, during his fervent address to the rally vowed that the 'Inqilaab"; the revolution had started today with the participation of thousands, in his words lakhs, of people in the rally.

While criticizing the rulers, he said they had given nothing to the masses except inflation, corruption and unemployment. He claimed that people did not vote for this. He questioned the legitimacy of May elections and pledged that people did not but votes were awarded to corrupt rulers in that poll.

Dr Hussain stated that due to the corrupt rulers masses miseries had increased. The dishonest rulers had imposed 35 percent cut on subsidy of perishable foods due to which the prices had increased by 25 percent in previous 7 months, he said.

Adding to this he mentioned that thousands of Pakistani citizens had been killed in incidents of terrorism due the claptrap polices of the government. Amid this entire people of Pakistan had no way except to take streets and strengthen the "Inqilaab" under leadership of Dr Tahirul Qadri, he pledged.

Thousands of enthusiastic male and female change supporters/ change participated in the protesting rally against inflation, corruption and unemployment. PATs office bearers claimed that people had gathered over one lakh while the independent observers gave the less calculation.

The gathering was different with respect discipline and organization particularly wherein not even a single mirror was broken. Despite accumulation of thousands of energetic partakers the law enforcing agencies had not issue by the crowed throughout the rally, which started at 11 am and ended at 6: 30 pm in the evening.

The rally started its protesting march on the famous Mall Road from Nasir Bagh at 12 pm and reached its destinations (the stage) near Faisal Chowk on the same road at 4 pm. Due to the great number of participants the rally took almost 4 hours to cover the short distance of around one kilometer.

Throughout their march, the participants kept on chanting slogans against the incumbent rulers. They also chanted slogans in favor of Dr Tahirul Qadri and his agenda for change. Male and female participants were waving national and party flags and were holding placards being inscribed with PAT's demands; mainly the implementation of Article 38 of Pakistan constitution.

Meanwhile, speakers made inspirational speeches in order to energize the mob besides playing music and revolutionary songs. Female speakers termed themselves as servants of Hazrat Fatima (RA) while the male speakers vowed to be the servants of Imam Hussain (RA) thereby resembling their anti-inflation and corruption protest to sacred 'Jihad' in Islam. All participants equally and positively responded speakers' statements.

The organizers had manufactured a stage at near Faisal Chowk. The rally which was already separated into male and female fractions assembled themselves both lanes of the Mall Road in front of stage the central leadership of PAT and TMQ held their seats.

The rally ended in peaceful manners with the completion of main speech of Dr Tahirul Qadri who addressed the rally through video link from abroad.

It is notable that the large number pat's male and female activists had performed security duties amid rally. They were working along cops at entrance points on adjacent roads to main artillery.
