KARACHI: Former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senator Faisal Raza Abidi said on Friday that he is only supporting Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chairman Tahir-ul-Qadri in a PTI-PAT joint protest on 11 May.
The senator who resigned from his seat last month, said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief is a pro-taliban leader and he is not supporting him in the protest against alleged rigging in 2013 general elections.
“Tahir-ul-Qadri’s stance on Taliban is the same, our stance on toppling this govt is the same, our stance on sending Pakistanis to Syria for proxy war is the same ” said an angry Abidi.
Speaking in a Samaa News talk show, Abidi told the anchor that now he too will treat media like Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain.
He said that he cannot call a government made on Taliban sponsored mandate as a ‘democratic’ government.
It must be remembered that Abidi left PPP and his senate seat and these days his only portfolio is “Voice of Martyrs of Pakistan”.
