Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri ready to join hands with all peace-loving forces of the country: Syed Farhat Hussain Shah

Central leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Syed Farhat Hussain Shah has said that the present rulers launched a campaign to collect money from the masses and retire the country’s foreign debt but the billions of rupees so collected were used for personal aggrandizement and political objectives with no financial check and balance. He said that while the rulers thrived on the public money, the country’s debt continued to pile up.

Syed Farhat Hussain Shah expressed these views while addressing Istehkam-e-Pakistan Conference held under the banner of Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen Gilgit-Baltistan in Skardu on May 18. He said that the people were aware of the shenanigans of the ruling elite now and hence they were not in a position to play havoc with the state resources without being held accountable for the abuse of their powers. He said that today’s big gathering at Sakardu proved that the days of the ruling elite had been numbered as none could stop the march of the people.

MQI leader said that the successive governments that came into power in Islamabad meted out step motherly treatment to the loving people of Gilgit-Baltistan. He said that they never took keen interest in the affairs of the people of the region and turned a blind to their major demands. He said that no party or government took any concrete step to confer a constitutional status on the region, which was home to centuries-old civilization, breath-taking scenery, and sky-high mountains. He said that PAT and MQI supported MWM in its struggle for restoration of rights of the people of GB region. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri was willing to join hands with all peaceful forces of the country including MWM for stability of Pakistan.
