Condemning the police high-handedness and removal of barricades from the approaches leading to central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the government, gripped by fear of his arrival, is harassing his workers. He said that police was doing illegal things as a mark of revenge, adding that such terrorist acts could not stop revolution. He said we were peaceful people and still wanted to stay peaceful but the rulers, nonplussed as they were, had resorted to devious tactic.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that barriers around secretariat of MQI had been erected on the orders of the Lahore High Court in the presence of the Model Town Police four years ago. He said that it was the time when the Taliban had threatened to burn Lahore. He said that by removing these barriers, the government was giving an opportunity to the terrorists and cutting down the security presence instead of increasing it. He said that this action made it clear that after the removal of barriers, they intended to get a terrorist act perpetrated there. He said that this attack on the peaceful workers had put a seal of approval on his prior FIR. He said that oppressive step taken by the government would pave the way for promotion of terrorism. He said that struck by bewilderment the likes of Nawaz, Shahbaz and Rana Sanaullah wanted to undermine the law and order of this country.
Dr Qadri said that it was our first test, adding that we would not give in to these people. He said that a few days were left before the coming of revolution. Addressing rulers, he said that they could not stop the revolution from coming. He said that they were showing their true colors. He said that revolutionaries could sacrifices their lives but not bow down before the oppression of the dishonest rulers. He paid homage to his workers who foiled this attack of the corrupt rulers despite presence of heavy machinery. He said that the police did a provocative act to intimidate workers and injured innocent and arm-less citizens but failed in their designs. He said that the corrupt rulers could go to any length in their revenge but our workers would defeat them by staying peaceful.
