LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), tasked with finding money laundering proofs against Dr. Tahirul Qadri, could not collect any evidence, it emerged on Tuesday.
The government had asked the FIA to initiate money laundering case proceedings, however, the agency could not find any evidence against Dr. Qadri.
Sources told that the FIA had sent its final report to the Ministry of Interior regarding investigation into money laundering. It is learnt that FIA was facing pressure for over three months to initiate probe against Dr. Qadri.
The FIA asked its offices in Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar to fatham out proofs of Dr. Qadri’s alleged involvement in money laundering, however it failed to do so.
