Qadri says Security Company ordered to remove his guards

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) President Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri claimed on Friday that government of Punjab has ordered his security company to remove his private guards, ARY News reported.

Qadri who is calling for a revolution to topple what he calls a ‘corrupt’ government in Pakistan claimed that the provincial government has sent a notice to the security company ordering them to remove the PAT chief’s guards.

The PAT chief protested the move in strong words by saying that “Is this democracy, where we are not even allowed to protect ourselves”.

On the other hand, a MQM delegation led by Mian Ateeq visited Mr. Qadri on his residence and strongly condemned harassment and arrests of PAT workers.

Mian Ateeq said that government should adopt reconciliatory policies as suggested by MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
