Faisalabad: Police arrest Hamid Raza’s brother, Hussain Raza

FAISALABAD: Police have arrested the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) leader, Sahibzada Hussain Raza, who is also the brother of chairman SIC, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, after attending a demonstration staged by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) here on Saturday, ARY News reported.

According to details, Sahibzada Hussain participated in a demonstration staged PAT, however the police arrested him after the event. Since then, there is no clue of him as to in which police station he has been detained.

Arrests of PAT workers and supporters in different cities of Punjab are continued for the past two days, however this is the first instance in which an official of another party was picked up by the cops.

Punjab Police has arrested hundreds of PAT workers since yesterday’s clashes in Lahore, Khushab, Faisalabad and other parts of the province, some of which were released, yet the majority is still under custody.

Here it is mandatory to note that the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) and Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) have been supporting Dr Tahirul Qadri in his struggle against the government and for a revolution in the state.
