LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) have agreed upon four points for the Inqilab and Azadi March on August 14. The PTI leader, Shah Mehmood Qureshi has vowed for a peaceful political struggle within the constitutional realm and not to tolerate martial law in state, ARY News reported.
According to details, PTI delegation headed by Shah Mehmood Qureshi met the PAT chief, Dr Tahirul Qadri at the Minhaj ul Quran Secretariat here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, both the sides had detailed discussion and agreed upon a four-point agenda for the Inqilab and Azadi March. Elaborating these points, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that both the parties will struggle democratically, which will be aimed at implementing real democracy in state.
“Both the parties will remain within the constitutional sphere. The struggle against the government will be peaceful and non-violent”, told the PTI leader.
Qureshi informed about the fourth point saying that none of the two parties will tolerate a martial law in the country.
He demanded the center and the Punjab Government to remove containers and let the people participate in the long march. The PTI leader said such acts by the government are indeed negation of democracy.
