Dr. Qadri vows to withdraw revolution call if weapons found on his supporters

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri said he would withdraw the call of revolution march if weapons were found on his supporters and activists, ARY News reported Tuesday.

Talking to media outside Mihajul Quran Secretariat, the PAT chief said his party could never consider ruining peace and spreading lawlessness.

He invited government ministers, political parties and human rights organisations to arrive in the Model Town and inspect all spots, adding he would withdraw call for march if weapons were found on his supporters anywhere.

He said police were registering false cases against his party workers. He thanked the MQM chief Altaf Hussain for forming medical camp in Model Town for participants of the long march.

Dr. Qadri also condemned the police action for preventing food supplies to PAT supporters in the Model Town.
