LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief, Dr. Tahirul Qadri, has assured the government that his party workers would not indulge in violence during ‘Revolution March’ on August 14.
Speaking to reporters outside his residence he said, “Our workers have been trained to be peaceful during their struggle. They can’t even think of violence and unrest. Despite bearing teargas shelling, bullets and police torture and everything that happened in Model Town incident, they didn’t fire a single bullet. PAT workers have always been peaceful and patient.”
"I reject all allegations of violence (against PAT workers). I invite (the police) to search every nook and cranny of Minhaj-ul-Quran Secretariat. If they find any weapon in our custody I will retract the call for Revolution March," he added. - SAMAA
