PAT Chief says protesting is basic right of every Pakistani
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Muhammad Tahirul Qadri has said that he holds the constitution of Pakistan in high esteem. He told that the ‘Revolution March’ will be constitutional and peaceful.
While talking to a press conference today (Wednesday) outside his residence in Lahore, Dr. Qadri said that it was the democratic right of every Pakistani to hold protests according to the Constitution of Pakistan. He once again assured that ‘Revolution March’ will be peaceful.
Tahirul Qadri said that Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Nawaz Sharif had stated in 2009 that the fate of Pakistan will be decided on roads. He said that his statements were no different compared to those that PAT Chief had been making lately.
Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan announced in a press conference today in Islamabad that the government would allow Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to hold their long marches.
