JHELUM: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Tahir ul Qadri today ruled out the possibility of imposition of martial law in the country due to his ongoing revolution march.
“There will be no martial law in the country now,” he categorically said while addressing a press conference in Jhelum. “No secret deal has been made between us and government,” he said.
Qadri said that nobody has played the role of mediation.
The PAT chief said that he would break the nexus between power and business. “Justice will be delivered to people at their doorstep after brining about the revolution,” he pledged.
To a question, he said that PAT would force the rulers to accept its demand with the power of people. “Not a single incidence of violence has taken plan over the last 10 days,” he added.
“At this moment, our march comprises of 500, 000 to 600, 000 people and by the time we reach Islamabad, this figure will cross one million mark,” he added. – SAMAA
