Latest updates: After Qadri's 48-hour deadline, Imran circles 3pm on Sunday

ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri have demanded that the government resign and that their ‘long marches’ will stay in the capital till their demands are met.

While PTI chief Imran Khan warned that unless their demands are not met within a certain time period, his ‘tsunami’ would cross into the Red Zone and protest in front of Parliament and Prime Minister Houses.

On the other hand, PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri presented a list of 14 demands in which he too demands that the government resign and the assemblies are dissolved. He though gave the government 48 hours within which to implement his charter of demands.

Both PAT and PTI have set up their stage at the edge of the Red Zone near Aabpara Market and Aabpara Chowk respectively with the former on Khayaban-e-Suharwardy while the latter has set up on Kashmir Highway.

The government, which is facing arguably its toughest challenge since it came into power 15 months ago, is bracing up in the capital’s Red Zone which remains blocked off with shipping containers.
