Rulers will go to gallows as per law for their role in Model Town killings: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that people's court will pass its verdict before killer-rulers go to Supreme Court for reversal of Lahore High Court’s order regarding registration of FIR against 21 accused. He said that Shahbaz Sharif kept sitting on report for 17 days in violation of people's Right to Information. He said that one-sided, one-man Judicial Tribunal established by Shahbaz Sharif himself held him responsible for Model Town killings. One He said that he was all praise for Pakistani media for standing by truth and exposing the killers. He congratulated Pakistani media that removed masks from the faces of killers.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while addressing hundreds of thousands of participants of revolution march and sit-in in front of Parliament House on August 26.

Dr Qadri said that Shahbaz Sharif could not have ordered killings without clear approval of his elder brother Nawaz Sharif. He asked: where was law, institutions & democracy of this country and why were they not coming to the help of the weak and poor? He said that there was no one to listen to voices of orphans and the poor. Referring to a Hadith, he said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: an orphan and I would be as close together on the Day of Judgment as two fingers.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri asked as to where should we go for justice if we do not come on roads? He said that the poor did not have access to food, medicine and clean drinking water, further saying that the rulers were so insensitive that they did not have even an idea of what people were going through. He said that democracy was meant for the privileged elite, while the poor went without food and water. He said that we did not accept democracy which does not cater to needs of the poor. He stated that real democracy was all about access to basic necessities of life such as food, shelter, clothing, medicare and education. He said that Articles 9-38 of the Constitution described fundamental rights and participatory democracy.

Dr Qadri said that elite democracy fostered a culture of corruption, patronage, illegal perks and privileges, bank loans and a life of luxury. Citing leaked report of Judicial Tribunal, he said that Shahbaz Sharif did not order disengagement in his first extempore press conference on June and that that this was made part of his written affidavit submitted by his lawyers in the Tribunal just to save his skin. He said that as report confirms role of CM Punjab in killings, the matter will not stop with the resignations of Sharifs and dissolution of assemblies, adding that the Sharif brothers would go to gallows according to law of the land.

Dr Qadri paid his rich tributes to Judges of Lahore High Court and Additional District & Session Court for upholding law against oppression. He demanded an immediate registration of FIR against 21 accused of Model Town massacre. He appealed to all Pakistanis to come out of their homes and join revolution to change their destiny.

Dr Qadri condemned provincial ministers for making derogatory statements about Pakistan army and other intelligence institutions of the country. He said that Pakistan Army was rendering huge sacrifices for defence of the motherland, adding that dragging them in political affairs was condemnable. He said that 23 hours were left before the deadline would expire and said that the blood of martyrs would certainly bear fruit. He said that the destiny of the poor would change and Pakistan would witness prosperity. He said that he did not want to live in a society where people did not have access to food, water, justice and dignified life. He appreciated the resolve of workers and asked them to stay put.
