Dr Qadri slams MPs for calling protesters ‘traitors’

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri said on Friday “had there been right people in the parliament the problems of people would now have been resolved”, ARY News reported.

Addressing his supporters in a sit-in camp outside Parliament House here, Dr Qadri said there was no need for him to protest, adding that he was leading a relatively happy and comfortable life in modest surroundings. “I was upset to see the suffering of the poor and children of the country.”

The PAT chief said he feared for the future generations of the country that could fall prey to what he described as ‘corrupt leaders’.

“God will help us in this testing time.”

He strongly criticized the ruling parliamentarians for calling protesters as traitors and beggars.
