FAISALABAD: Expressing his desire for electoral alliance with Imran Khan, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said he wants the sit-in protesters to get united in the electoral arena.
Talking exclusively to SAMAA, Dr. Qadri asserted he seeks to form an alliance with Imran Khan. But, in the same breath, he also maintained it will be premature to say anything of the sort now.
Replying to a query regarding any potential alliance with Imran Khan, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri remarked, “It will be premature to give any definite and definitive answer in this regard. However, it is my desire that those who stood up for ‘revolution’ and ‘change’, should combat concertedly on every battleground.”
The PAT’s political movement, he said, kicked off with the massive Faisalabad showing on October 12 and a door of success has opened.
The PAT chief also ruled out to embark on path of politics that may be detrimental to the country, adding, “I still hold that State, not politics, should be protected. We hit the political ground for not such politics that may harm the country.”
Having busy schedule in the city, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri held consecutive meetings with businessmen, trade and labor leaders. He also addressed the party workers. –SAMAA
