PAT set to show public strength in Lahore

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) will flex its political muscles in a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore today, ARY News reports.

PAT Chairman Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri will address the party’s gathering today after arriving from Islamabad whereas Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) leaders Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza and other party leaders will also address the rally.

Seating arrangements for more than 70,000 participants have been made with separate areas for men and women. Five gates will be used for entry and exit

More than 4,000 PAT volunteers will perform security duties.

It should be noted that PAT had announced to stage rallies in cities across Pakistan after the sit-in in the federal capital.
