LAHORE: Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr Tahirul Qadri on Saturday clarified that the Islamabad sit-in is not ended and we are firm on our stance of a revolution in the state, ARY News reported.
Talking to media upon his arrival in Lahore, Dr Tahirul Qadri reiterated that the Islamabad sit-in is not ended; it is rather shifted nationwide. He told that the Islamabad sit-in, which continued for 60 days, awakened the nation and provided awareness to the masses.
He claimed that the people of the country owned his call for a revolution in the state.
Responding to a question, the PAT chief said he has repeatedly stated and now once again saying that he has moved back to Pakistan and whenever he will go abroad, one thing is sure that he will eventually return to the country.
He vowed to visit every nook and cranny of the country and make Awami Tehreek the largest political party of Pakistan.
Qadri said his party will contest all the elections, even the by-elections, adding that he visits foreign states to attend different conferences there and nobody should have an objection over this.
He also vowed to keep pressing for the formation of a national government and to stick to his demand of reforms first and then to hold elections.
