Rulers should refrain from putting Pakistan on sale: PAT chief organizer

Chief Organizer of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Muhammad Hanif Mustafavi, has said that 2% of powerful sections of society that have been holding sway over the destiny of the nation for last 67 years have shared interest but have worn masks of different political parties. He said that outdate electoral system and so-called political parties are indispensable to each other, adding that it is a nexus that PAT Chairman Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has exposed before the nation. He said that 98% Pakistanis would have to join the political struggle of PAT to bring about real change in the country so that corrupt and elitist system could be sent packing.

Hanif Mustafavi expressed these views while addressing PAT workers form Abbottabad and Haripur (Hazara) who called on him in his office yesterday in Lahore. He asked the rulers, who claimed of reforming state institutions, to stay away from publishing ads of ‘Pakistan for sale’. He demanded that privatization of Pakistan Steel Mills, PIA, OGDCL and other state enterprises should be stopped forthwith. He said that peaceful protest is right of every citizen, adding that the government’s use of police force against OGDCL employees is condemnable. He said that the rulers are dictators in the garb of democracy. PAT chief organizer asked, is it democracy or governance to appoint a person Chairman of Islamabad Metro Bus Project who has been indicted in a drug case?
