Monday, November 24, 2014 - Bhakkar—Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri addressing a gathering in Bhakkar district on Sunday asked his supporters to “destroy the system if elected rulers fail to deliver”.
Qadri appealed to the crowd to vote for PAT candidate Nazar Abbas for the Nov 29 by-polls in the district. He added that the by-polls were in fact a preparing ground for a “bigger battle” yet to come.
“We are protesting against the corrupt and oppressive government,” Qadri said.
The PAT chief said 90-day Islamabad sit-in awakened the people of Pakistan and promised the attendees that if his party ever formed the national government, they would change the entire system.
“We will change this corrupt system,” he said, adding that they would divide the palaces of the feudal lords and build homes for the homeless.
Moreover, he said the corrupt rulers have looted the country’s treasure for more than 65 years and oppressed the poor.
After wrapping up his sit-in at the federal capital on October 21, Qadri returned to the country on November 20 after a trip to the US, Canada and the UK.

He went on to say that a war between the strong and the weak has begun in the country.
“The first test of this war is in the by-elections being held in Darya Khan.”
Tahirul Qadri said that he would unite Sunni and Shia sects in the country if the masses voted him to power claiming that he would change the system if people voted him in 2/3 majority, which required from Karachi to Peshawar for coming into power.
Qadri introduced PAT candidate Nazar Abbas for by-polls on November 29 and said he wants to make the society a ‘Hussaini society’, referring to Imam Hussain (R.A).
Qadri lauded the role of martyred of the movement and said two martyred belong to Bhakkar. He asked people to vote for the PAT candidate in the by-elections.
