LAHORE: The Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on Tuesday announced to stage countrywide protest demonstrations on December 17.

According to a statement issued here, party’s Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said PAT would stage demonstrations over Model Town tragedy.

He said rallies will be held across the country, while their allies will also participate in the protest.

It is pertinent to note here that at least 13 people including two women had been killed in the clashes on the eve of June 17 when police reached the Minhaj ul Quran secretariat to remove barricades.
