Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) will take out a rally against terrorism in Bhakhar today (Sunday), which will be led by its central President Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi. PAT has invited various political, social, and journalistic organizations and the civil society including Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) to attend the Sunday’s protest demonstration.
Speaking before his departure for Bhakhar, Dr Raheeq Abbasi termed elimination of terrorism essential for survival of the nation. He said that thousands of people will attend the PAT rally to express their solidarity with the martyrs of Shikarpur tragedy and the armed forces of Pakistan. He said that the participants would carry the national flags in their hands, adding that the purpose of organizing the rally is to reiterate the pledge that the whole nation stands united behind their armed forces for elimination of terrorism. He said that people belonging to all walks of life would have to play their individual and collective role to eradicate terrorism from our midst.
The PAT President warned that if we did not play our due role now, then our succeeding generations will be deprived of real freedom. He said that the PAT has launched a struggle for elimination of terrorism, and exploitative and corrupt political system, which would continue till the attainment of destination. The leaders and workers of PAT, MWM and other parties will attend the Bhakhar rally.
