PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that the accused of Model Town tragedy are being rewarded one after the other. He said that Dr Toquir Shah was appointed as Ambassador to World Trade Organization (WTO), SP Secrutiy Salman Ali was made to flee the country, and now Rana Sanaullah has been reinstated as the provincial minister. He said that the portfolio of law ministry was taken back from Rana to throw dust in the eyes of people, which has been given back.

The PAT secretary general said that the JIT report is yet to be submitted to the court and Rana Sanaullah, who is the principal accused in Model Town case, has been reinstated. He said that this JIT was established to give relief to the killers. He said that the manner in which the killers of Model Town victims are being rewarded shows that Model Town tragedy was well planned and it explains why the government is providing protection to the workers. He, however, added in the same breath that the blood of martyrs will not go to waste and justice will take its own course.
