PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has strongly condemned the assassination attempt at the life of Sunni Ittehad Council Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza and his brother. He said that those who raised voice against terrorism and extremism are being harassed. He demanded that all those people who are involved in this attack in any manner should be arrested and meted out exemplary punishment.
Meanwhile, PAT President Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi established a telephonic contact with Sahibzada Hamid Raza and inquired after his health. He condemned the murder attempt in the strongest possible words and described it as ‘cowardly act’. He said that the criminal elements have the patronage of the ruling party in Punjab. He said that the supporters of terrorists are openly carrying out activities in the province and there is no one to check them.
