Pained by martyrdom of Qawwal Amjad Sabri: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that unless the infection of terrorism is cured, the citizens will continue to die. He said that there isn’t anything called the government and the terrorists remain free to take people’s lives. He said that he was pained to learn about the martyrdom of renowned Qawwali maestro Amjad Sabri in Karachi.

Paying tributes to the services of Amjad Sabri in the field of Qawwali, Dr Qadri said that he played a significant role in guiding the youth towards Islam through his wonderful singing. He said that terrorism has swallowed many a great people but the rulers’ eyes remain shut. He said that martyrdom of Amjad Sabri on the heels of the kidnapping of Chief Justice’s son means that the network of terrorists is not only present but also active. He said that elimination of terrorism is not possible with bullets alone, adding that eliminating the basic causes is also equally important. He said that the NAP was brought into being to address the root causes but it has been sabotaged on the political grounds.

The PAT Chairman said that the Interior Minister is saying after one and half years of NAP’s inception that the construction of NACTA’s headquarters will be completed next month. He said that the war which the nation wants to win eagerly, NACTA, which has to play central coordination role in this war, is still under construction.
