Addressing a meeting of the senior leaders of PAT here at the central secretariat, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has asked the workers to start preparing for the second round of the Qisas movement. He said that the announcement about the start of the second round of the movement will be made soon. He said that the rulers will have to answer the questions on the Panama leaks and the Model Town tragedy and this struggle will not go in vain. He said that NAB, FIA and FBR have disappointed the nation with regard to investigation into the corruption cases of the rulers. He said that the struggle to free the institutions from political pressure is part of the Qisas and accountability movement.
Dr Hassan said that the rulers will have to tell with which money they bought the luxury apartments in London and why they attacked the residence of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and martyred 14 workers on June 17, 2014. He said that the rulers are wrong to think that the issues will be pushed under the carpet with the passage of time. He said that we would unite all opposition parties on the agenda of the accountability of rulers. He said that the present rulers have made the institutions hostage, adding what greater tyranny there can be than the fact that justice has not been provided to the families of martyrs despite passage of two years and investigation has yet to be initiated in the Panama leaks despite passage of six months.
Meanwhile, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri presided over the meeting of the Central Executive Council of PAT Lahore. He informed the participants that the Model Town case has been prepared to be raised at the human rights forums in Europe. He said that we had petitioned the anti-terrorism court to include the report of the judicial commission in the proceedings but it was rejected. He said that the families of martyrs have been saddened by it.
